<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>The Sanitation Supervisor oversees/directs the sanitation department team in all areas of sanitation for production areas / machines.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><p>• Organize, lead and supervise sanitation employees; solves problems before they develop.<br> • Observe/evaluate processes and draws on experience to make independent decisions on issues relating to sanitation processes and improvements. <br> • Provide assistance and guidance to sanitation employees, providing them with what they need to accomplish daily tasks and achieve goals.<br> • Communicate effectively and makes sound decisions.<br> • Evaluate employee performance.<br> • Administer discipline when needed.<br> • Assist with selection, hiring, advancement, transfer, promotion and termination decisions for the department.<br> • Delegate responsibilities as needed. <br> • Schedule employee vacations.<br> • Maintain accurate records and employee files<br> • Motivate by example.<br> • Process daily employee issues and complaints.<br> o Listen well and provide tactful feedback.<br> • Work closely with the quality control department, assisting with information gathering and follow-up.<br> • Assure a safe work environment.<br> • Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.<br> • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.<br> • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.<br> • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Required Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p>• Associate’s degree or commensurate experience.<br> • 4 years of sanitation experience or more.<br> • In depth understanding of manufacturing sanitation processes. <br> • Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience. <br> • Ability to provide leadership, support, communication and direction to line personnel. <br> • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues. </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Education and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p>• Bachelor’s degree.<br> • SAP experience.<br> • Management or supervisory experience.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Working Conditions</b></H2> </div><div><div>• Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying.</div><div>• Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.</div><div>• Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required.</div><div>• Product weight: up to 50 lbs.</div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:20.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>EEOC & Disclaimer</b></H2> </div><div><div>Great Lakes Cheese is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.</div></div></div></div>
