With more than a century of expertise, SKF contributes every day to reliable and sustainable industrial applications worldwide.</em></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p>As a <strong>Transport Coordinator</strong>, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing national and international transport flows by road, sea, and air. You will ensure that shipments are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with agreed service levels. You will have the authority to make transport-related decisions that lead to optimal transportation solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Develop and monitor transport plans for road, ocean, and air freight flows</li> <li>Coordinate transport capacity based on shipment volumes, operational planning, and customer requirements</li> <li>Act as the key point of contact between carriers, warehouses, customer service teams, international SKF locations, and other internal stakeholders</li> <li>Take action to resolve transport and capacity issues and propose alternative transport solutions</li> <li>Manage transport-related administration and communication</li> <li>Analyze performance through KPIs such as on-time arrivals/departures and fill rates</li> <li>Handle claims, transport incidents, and quality-related cases</li> <li>Ensure compliance with transport regulations, with a particular focus on dangerous goods transportation</li> <li>Maintain and optimize transport data and flows within SAP TM/EM and WASS</li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to sustainable transport solutions, including CO₂ reporting</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key requirement</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor&apos;s degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent experience</li> <li>Knowledge of logistics and transport processes</li> <li>Understanding of the transport market and relevant transport legislation</li> <li>Good knowledge of PC applications and systems (SAP TM)</li> <li>Solid analytical skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset</li> <li>Ability to work with shifting priorities and the ability to prioritize in an evolving environment</li> <li>Effective communication &amp; collaboration skills</li> <li>Good command of English; knowledge of French and/or German is meritorious</li> <li>Proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken</li> <li>Able to manage pressure well and make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><em>SKF is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success.
