We're at the forefront of the energy industry revolution - let's build a brighter energy future together!</p> <p> </p> <p>The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning. <strong>This position begins August 2026.</strong> Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program (Masters degree students will not be considered) and available for an alternating rotating 3-semester schedule so expected graduation date should be 2027 or later to have enough time to work 3 semesters rotating with school semesters before graduating. This is a fulltime position working approximately 40 hours Monday through Friday on-site at our Lafayette, Indiana location. Co-ops are paid positions but we don’t offer a housing stipend or housing assistance so candidates local to our Lafayette, Indiana location are preferred. </p> <p><br><strong>Project Overview</strong></p> <p><br>• Perform mechanical system and component design utilizing solid modeling CAD tools under the guidance of the Project Engineer or Supervisor</p> <p><br>• Create detailed drawings of parts and assemblies utilizing CAD tools</p> <p><br>• Calculate and lay out dimensions, angles, curvature of parts, materials to be used, and relationship of various parts to entire structure</p> <p><br>• Generate BOMs and ECOs</p> <p><br>• Interact with suppliers to procure, deliver and implement parts and designs</p> <p><br> </p> <p><strong>Objectives/Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><br>• Candidate is interested in mechanical engineering product design and processes</p> <p><br>• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university</p> <p><br>• Interested in completing multiple work terms; work terms alternate with school semesters</p> <p><br>• Have completed or working towards completing an engineering graphics CAD class</p> <p><br>• Experience in Windows applications including Microsoft Office</p> <p><br>• Good written and verbal communication skills</p> <p><br>• Ability to provide thorough attention to detail</p> <p><br> </p> <p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p> <p><br>Undergraduate student seeking a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering</p> <p> </p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.<br> </p><p> </p> <p>We're committed to shaping a better future for everyone.<strong> #EnergizeYourCareer</strong> and join us on our journey towards a greener tomorrow.</p>
