The Role As a Senior Authorised Person, you will provide subject matter expertise and operational leadership across High‑Hazard environments, ensuring Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) are robust, compliant and consistently applied. You will play a critical role in maintaining operational safety, supporting delivery teams and shaping technical standards across UK Defence Operations. Day to day, you’ll provide expert guidance on electrical safety and hazardous area operations, support Authorised Persons across sites, and lead continuous improvement of Safe Systems of Work to ensure safe, compliant and resilient operations. Boscombe Down MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.
