<p><br><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. </strong></span></span></p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>Oversees day-to-day operations of the plating team, defines goals, improves technologies, and determines the best action to meet schedules and resolve technical issues.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Lead and supervise shift operations of reel-to-reel plating lines.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to production schedules, throughput targets, and delivery commitments.</li> <li>Monitor plating parameters such as current density, line speed, bath chemistry, temperature, and ph.</li> <li>Ensure correct setup and changeover of plating reels and materials.</li> <li>Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).</li> <li>Coordinate with maintenance team for equipment downtime and preventive maintenance.</li> <li>Perform first-level troubleshooting of plating line issues (electrical, mechanical, chemical).</li> <li>Ensure plating tanks, rectifiers, pumps, filters, and dosing systems are functioning properly.</li> <li>Ensure plating thickness, adhesion, and surface quality meet specifications.</li> <li>Monitor and control bath chemistry (Ni, Sn, Au, Ag) with regular analysis and adjustments.</li> <li>Identify and troubleshoot defects</li> <li>Collaborate with QA and engineering teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.</li> <li>Lead, allocate, and supervise operators and technicians during shift.</li> <li>Conduct shift briefings and task assignments.</li> <li>Train and mentor operators in plating processes, quality standards, and safety practices.</li> <li>Monitor team performance and discipline.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.</li> <li>Enforce safe handling of chemicals (acids, cyanides, metal salts).</li> <li>Ensure use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.</li> <li>Support process optimization and new product introduction (NPI).</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Skill Set and Profile</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Strong knowledge of electroplating processes (Ni, Sn, Au, Ag)</li> <li>Understanding of plating systems, SAP</li> <li>Process troubleshooting and problem-solving</li> <li>Leadership, Training team and team management</li> <li>Analytical thinking and decision-making</li> <li>Knowledge of quality control tools</li> <li>Good communication and reporting skills</li> <li> Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives on the shop floor.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualification and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Education: BSc, Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical.</li> </ul> <p>Experience: 5 years in electroplating or surface finishing and At least 2 years in a supervisory/shift leader role.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Competencies</b></H2> </div><div><div>Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork</div></div></div></div><p><strong>ABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY</strong></p> <p>TE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
