The Postdoctoral Associate will join a highly dynamic research group with excellent track-record and resources in brain tumor research. They will be employed to carry out advanced independent and directed research to achieve the objectives of the cancer research projects. Postdoctoral Associate should have expertise in molecular and cellular biology, neuroscience and mouse modeling.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Duties</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Plans and conducts day-to-day experimental activities relating to assigned research projects.</li> <li>Uses in depth knowledge of concepts to implement complex research plans, data collection, analysis and evaluation base and to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.</li> <li>Adheres to experimental protocols required for project advancement.</li> <li>Manages animal colony independently. </li> <li>Retains accurate records of research findings, along with analysis of results, in a detailed up-to-date laboratory notebook.</li> <li>Utilizes safe laboratory protocols and adheres to equipment usage guidelines.</li> <li>Uses biochemistry expertise to drive forward the cancer subgroup projects. </li> <li>Presents research findings at internal meetings and conferences.</li> <li>Provides mentorship and relevant equipment or experimental training to junior staff and students.</li> <li>Contributes to scientific literature as well as research proposals and grant applications.</li> <li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Minimum Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.</li> <li>No experience required.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Preferred Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Recent graduate with a doctoral degree in the field of neuroscience with keen interest to pursue cancer biology.</li> <li>Has strong research experience in the neuroscience field and have a track record of publications that demonstrate his/her abilities in essential biochemistry and molecular biology techniques and working with laboratory mice. </li> </ul></div></div></div>
