Additional responsibilities include trouble shooting issues with railcars, shopping railcars, authorizing repairs and approving various rail invoices.</p> <p> </p> <p>Comparison to Similar Roles:</p> <p>If there are other positions similar to this position, please list them and identify areas in which this job might be considered bigger or smaller to the comparison jobs.</p> <p>Rail Supply Scheduler is similar; however, Rail Representative will focus on railcar fleet management in Railcar Tracking System and with Railroads across the US</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Essential Functions: </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Empty Railcar Fleet Management based on Supply Plan execution</li> <li>Coordinate Railcar Qualification and Shop shipments with Lessors</li> <li>Tracking Loaded and Empty shipments in Railcar Management System</li> <li>Review and approve Railcar Repair Invoices</li> <li>Coordinating across multiple departments for Railcar related business matters</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of hazardous shipments via rail</li> <li>Knowledge of a tank railcar, repairs and shop requests</li> <li>Strong negotiation and communication skills</li> <li>Sound judgment and decision-making skills</li> <li>Strong analytical skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider equivalent experience</li> <li>Length of Experience: Minimum of 3 years in railcar fleet management, preferred 2 years handling hazardous commodities</li> </ul></div></div></div><p><span style="font-size:16.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">AmeriGas Propane, Inc.</span></span><span style="font-size:16.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
