The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Legal - Commercial & Client Services. Your responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Providing support to the Commercial & Client Services Legal Team. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Operate as point of contact for the business in all EMEA civil-law jurisdictions, to assist or advise on matters of regulatory, corporate/commercial and contract law. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Support the Legal Team in: <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> drafting and updating legal documentation, including standard services agreements, intra-group and outsourcing agreements and other types of commercial contracts including vendor contracts; </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> management of legal risk and advising on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business’ service offering; </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and standards as well as Alter Domus’ contracting process; and </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> contributing to knowledge management, training and legal updates. </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Assist the business in: <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> participating to formal responses to client queries in support of operational teams; </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> advising operational teams on the legal consequences of corporate and commercial documents; and </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> acting as trusted advisor to Alter Domus’ senior management and internal support functions. </li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Conduct negotiations for a broad range of complex services agreements and commercial contracts with strategic clients or suppliers. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Advise on legal aspects of corporate transactions, manage external counsel and assist with understanding legal risk and corporate governance. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues to inform decision making and integrate into actionable recommendations for senior management and teams. </li> </ul> Your profile <ul> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> University degree in law, completed by postgraduate studies in corporate or commercial law. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> 2 to 4 years relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in-house in an international environment. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Strong background in corporate and commercial law, and demonstrable experience in the Financial Services industry and its regulatory environment. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Proven track record of commercial contract drafting and negotiation. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Legal risk awareness and ability to work collaboratively with the business to deliver pragmatic outcome-focused solutions to legal issues, without compromising on Alter Domus’ policies, protection and values. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Experience in using legal technology platforms. </li> <li style="font-family:tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"> Excellent command of English and ability to present views clearly, concisely, and accurately to a wide array of audiences.
