<p style="text-align:center"><img style="width:160.0px;height:37.0px" src="https://hcm12preview.sapsf.eu/C0001190956T1/ME_Uganda.jpg" alt="ME Uganda" align="middle"></p> <p style="text-align:center"> </p> <p style="text-align:center"> </p> <p style="text-align:center"><span style="font-size:18.0pt"><strong>FOREMAN - EARTHWORKS</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:center"> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong><span style="line-height:107%;color:black">Job Summary</span></strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p>The Foreman – Earthworks will be responsible for supervising and coordinating earthworks activities to ensure safe, efficient, and quality execution of works in line with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and HSEQ requirements.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Supervise earthworks activities including excavation, grading, embankment construction, backfilling, compaction, and drainage works.</li> <li>Plan daily activities, allocate resources, and coordinate labour and equipment to meet project targets.</li> <li>Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and survey information to ensure accurate execution of works.</li> <li>Supervise site crews, operators, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and compliance with work requirements.</li> <li>Coordinate the use and operation of earthmoving equipment and report equipment issues when required.</li> <li>Monitor quality of earthworks, including levels, compaction, and compliance with project specifications.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards and conduct toolbox talks.</li> <li>Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, quality personnel, and other stakeholders to support project delivery.</li> <li>Maintain daily records of work progress, labour, equipment usage, and site activities.</li> <li>Identify site challenges, implement corrective actions, and support timely completion of project activities.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications, Skills, and Experience.</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field</li> <li>Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in earthworks, excavation, grading, and compaction works.</li> <li>Experience supervising construction crews and heavy equipment operations.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and survey data.</li> <li>Knowledge of construction safety and quality requirements.</li> <li>Experience in infrastructure, oil & gas, or large civil construction projects is an added advantage.</li> <li>Good knowledge of earthworks construction methods.</li> <li>Strong leadership and team supervision skills.</li> <li>Good communication and problem-solving skills.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p style="text-align:right"> </p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:left"><img src="https://performancemanager5.successfactors.eu/C0001190956P/MoveME-horizontal-semfundo_1_.png" style="height:123.0px;width:200.0px;float:left"></p>
