Freight Forwarder Harwich Monday to Friday Main Purpose of the role DSV are looking for a pro-active, positive and customer-focused Freight Forwarder to join our Cross Trade operations team. As we progress through a period of integration and business change, we are seeking an individual who can adapt quickly, remain organised under pressure, and maintain a high level of service whilst managing a busy and challenging workload. You will be responsible for managing customer shipments from booking through to completion, ensuring operational excellence, proactive communication, and a first-class customer experience. What will you be doing? <ul> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Accept and process customer bookings accurately and efficiently. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Manage cross-trade shipments from booking through to final delivery. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Proactively monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers and stakeholders. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Identify and resolve operational issues, delays, or service challenges. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Liaise with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Ensure customer invoices are raised accurately and within agreed timescales. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Chase and validate supplier costs to ensure complete and timely financial closure of jobs. </li> </ul> About You <ul> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Previous experience within transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or international road operations preferred. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Adaptability, resilience and a willingness to support the wider team. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution. </li> <li style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Good IT skills and experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office. </li> </ul> What can we offer you?
