This role sits at the core of project delivery, ensuring commercial performance, mitigating risks, and enabling smarter decision-making.</p> <p> </p> <p><br><strong>You’ll work alongside committed teams who take ownership and collaborate globally - because they know what’s at stake: delivering infrastructure that connects cities.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your role, your impact</strong></p> <p>• Lead contract and claim management activities across the project lifecycle<br>• Define and implement Contract Management Strategy Plans (CMSP)<br>• Drive risk reviews and mitigation strategies on a regular basis<br>• Manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EoTs) and contractual notices<br>• Ensure compliance with contract, claims and insurance management standards (CCIM)<br>• Support negotiations with customers, partners and suppliers<br>• Monitor contractual obligations, milestones and project performance<br>• Prepare and manage documentation for claims, disputes (e.g. DAB) and litigation support<br>• Collaborate transversally with project teams, legal, procurement and finance<br>You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams across project management, engineering, finance and legal - solving complex contractual challenges that directly impact project success.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <p><br>• Degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related field<br>• Strong experience in contract/claim management or project management (10+ years preferred)<br>• Knowledge of Portuguese law and public procurement (CCP)<br>• Fluency in Portuguese and English<br>• Ability to interpret complex contractual and technical documentation<br>• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills<br>• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities<br>• Experience in multinational engineering or infrastructure projects (a plus)<br>• Spanish or French (a plus)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>How success is measured</strong></p> <p><br>• Timely and effective handling of variations, claims and contractual obligations<br>• Quality of risk management and mitigation strategies<br>• Achievement of Contract Management KPIs<br>• Contribution to project profitability and dispute avoidance/resolution<br>• Effectiveness in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Alstom, a great place to grow</strong></p> <p><br>• Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career in a global organisation<br>• Collaborate with international and cross-functional teams<br>• Contribute to innovative and sustainable mobility projects<br>• Benefit from a supportive and cooperative working environment<br>• Steer your career across functions and countries<br>• Access continuous learning and development opportunities<br>• Receive a competitive reward package aligned with your performance and potential</p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p><strong>Here, progress isn’t always easy - the scale is massive, the challenges are complex - but the impact is real.
