With an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, our underground mining team applies a strong safety culture to all aspects of operations.<br><br><strong>About the Role<br></strong>We're looking for an HR Officer to join our Underground People team in Perth, providing the administrative backbone that keeps Human Resources running accurately and on time across a multi-site, blue-collar workforce. </p> <p><strong><br>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain employee records, including disciplinary documentation, within SuccessFactors and employee files</li> <li>Prepare and distribute monthly HR reports, including end of month and AGA reporting</li> <li>Coordinate and record exit interviews, and manage probation review reminders</li> <li>Process employee resignations end-to-end, ensuring documentation and written confirmations are completed and filed</li> <li>Prepare MUA eligibility reports for site operations and obtain stakeholder approval prior to processing</li> <li>Review annual leave cashout requests and ensure compliance before submitting to Payroll</li> <li>Conduct monthly visa compliance checks and flag upcoming expiries to HR Business Partners</li> <li>Monitor contract and secondment end dates and liaise with site leaders on required actions</li> <li>Support recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation activity across our UG site portfolio</li> <li>Compile and analyse attrition data, and provide administrative support for employee relations matters including meeting minutes and documentation</li> <li>Assist with visa applications and parental leave administration </li> </ul> <p><strong><br>What You’ll Bring<br></strong><em><strong>Essential</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a Human Resources Administrator or Officer role</li> <li>Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with employees and leaders at all levels</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li> <li>High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Experience preparing reports and analysing workforce data </li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Desirable</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice</li> <li>Experience with visa administration and workforce compliance</li> <li>Background in mining, resources or industrial sectors</li> <li>Experience with SuccessFactors or a similar HRIS </li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Role Details</strong></p> <ul> <li>Location: Macmahon Head Office – Perth (Near T2)</li> <li>Roster: Monday to Friday</li> <li>Competitive benefits package including: <ul> <li>Paid Parental Leave for primary carers</li> <li>Retail discounts (including homewares, outdoor gear, fuel and groceries)</li> <li>Novated leases</li> <li>Comprehensive wellbeing program</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Why Macmahon?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Join a growing UG HR function backing one of Australia's largest mining contractors</li> <li>Work across a varied portfolio spanning WA, NT and QLD operations</li> <li>Genuine pathway to grow into an HR Advisor role as your experience develops </li> </ul> <p><br>Ready to make an impact?
