<p><strong>Role:</strong> Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>London (Inside M25) - Field based with daily travel to client sites </p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong> £41,714 per annum</p> <div> <p>For candidates who hold COMPEX 1–4, salary starts from £44,321 per annum</p> </div> <p> </p> <p><strong>Package:</strong> <strong>£4,000 location allowance</strong> (inside M25 only) + Car allowance of <strong>£5,000 p/a</strong> or <strong>Company Car +</strong> Fuel Card + OT available + Up to <strong>12% Pension + </strong>Health Care + and other flexible benefits listed below </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <p>To operate independently and as a team member in carrying out high quality examination of designated Electrical installations, operating with clear customer focus and driving optimal service delivery.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Operate in line with Bureau Veritas Core Values and Code of Ethics<br>• Fully utilize all operational systems available, ensuring accurate data is inputted and reflected<br>• Whilst acting as a fully integrated member of a national and regional team, retain independent and individual ownership and responsibility for all allocated inspection and technical activities.<br>• Ensure examinations and testing are carried out in set time scales in line with the planned schedule<br>• Formulate, produce and distribute inspection reports in a professional manner within daily timescales and service standards.<br>• Ensure you work in line with Bureau Veritas Health and Safety process and systems<br>• Safely Carry Out Electrical Safety Tests On Portable Appliances Within Our Customers Premises In Accordance With The Code Of Practice For In-Service Inspection And Testing Of Electrical Equipment And The Health & Safety @ Work Act 1974.<br>• Carry out inspections within agreed authorities and to inspection standards and record such activities in the methods set out by the company.<br>• Provide advice of a technical and legislative nature relevant to agreed authorities to clients other team members and external bodies as necessary.<br>• Provide, build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met.<br>• Work closely with Regional Planner to ensure the plan is completed on a daily basis, any change must be communicated to the planner<br>• Maintain an awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting Electrical Installations, and support change as required.<br>• Act on behalf of the company, making full use of technical expertise, when required.<br>• Identify any possible business opportunities and advise all appropriate business areas.<br>• Work effectively with Area Managers and Regional Directors to ensure all Regions KPI’s are met</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience & Skills Required:</strong><br>• Relevant Electrical knowledge<br>• Previous experience in a similar role / time served apprentice holding their 18<em>th</em> edition<br>• Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues, both written and verbal.<br>• Computer literate<br>• Good knowledge of market, industry trends, developments and changes in legislation. Knowledge of H&S requirements</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications Required:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>18th Edition regulations (preferable) </li> <li>City & Guilds Part 1, 2and 3 OR Level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Diploma electrical installation.
