Transport and dump loose materials such as sand, dirt, gravel, and stone for customers or stockpiling. This is a 2nd shift position at our Mt Hope Quarry in Wharton, NJ. Core Responsibilities <table class="Table" style="margin-left:7.0px" cellspacing="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="height:16.0px;padding:0.0in 7.0px 0.0in 7.0px;width:577.0px" valign="top"> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conduct daily pre- and post-shift inspection procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Continuously examine road conditions for debris in the road, potholes, other equipment, pedestrians, etc., assess slope stability, and operate accordingly.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Drive up stockpiles in most weather conditions and at night under flood lights (depending on location and shift).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Pull levers and turn cranks to tilt body and dump contents.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to the body.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Communicate and cooperate with all personnel.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Wear hardhat, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hearing protection and respirator as needed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required by manager.</li> <li class="indent25" style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Additional duties as assigned or required, consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Regular and timely attendance is required. </li> </ul> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="padding:0.0in 7.0px 0.0in 7.0px;width:577.0px" valign="top"> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
