Job Summary Responsible for the overall EHS compliance. Implements procedures and programs to minimize environmental, health and safety (EHS) risks and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements Job Responsibilities <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Responsible for EHS Compliance at Gilroy and San Martin site.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Responsible for coaching, training and supporting operations in executing Daily Fundamentals.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Build strong relationships with managers and employees on EHS and act as a resource.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in coordination, planning and facilitating training seminars.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Travel and Support two facilities.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Educate staff via weekly safety trainings in English/Spanish.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in Incident Management including Near Misses, Hazards and Accidents.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Coordinate/lead Safety Committee meetings monthly.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Weekly coaching on Lockout/Tagout and procedural audits.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Performs weekly/monthly/annual inspections at each plant and documents completion in Riskonnect.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Analyze trends and perform root cause analysis for incidents and develop and follow up on corrective actions.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Learn and understand site specific machinery to identify safety zones and develop procedures for safe operations.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Recognize safety hazards or unsafe work practices and develop Corrective Action Plans.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist site management as needed with various EHS and production related projects.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Communicate and escalate issues with leadership timely.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.</li> </ul> Job Requirements <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Minimum 2+ years of experience in manufacturing.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Working knowledge of OSHA 10, California State and EPA regulations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to read, analyze and interpret plant safety procedures, professional journals and technical manuals.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Excellent communications skills, verbal, written, in-person and by telephone.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to take initiative and work independently.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Bilingual -
