Overview and Impact Responsible for supporting quarry production by completing general labor and upkeep, operation of conveyors, pumps, screens, feeders, and crushers. Employee’s primary responsibility will be to drive the water truck for dust suppression. Core Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules/regulations.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Drive water truck for dust suppression.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Inspect work area and fill out Work Area Inspection forms daily and Production Report.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Keep walkways, catwalks, stairways, platforms, and conveyor frames clean and free of debris and garbage.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Check and maintain conveyor belts, scrapers, skirt boards, idlers, pulleys, guards and bearings.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Grease all bearings on head pulley, tail pulley, upper bend pulley, lower bend pulley and gravity take-up pulley of conveyors (where applicable) according to specified maintenance schedule.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Check and maintain oil levels in gearboxes, crushers, and screens according to specified schedule.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Check screen deck panels for wear and report condition on work area inspection sheet.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Change screen deck panels when required.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Check water system, including spray bars and water lines.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">May be called upon at discretion of the supervisor to perform any other duties assigned and to assist other departments if necessary.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Demonstrate ability to learn for training classes given.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Must be able to operate the re-crush process.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Demonstrate the ability to perform all duties safely.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:107%;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Wear a hardhat, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, gloves, hearing protection and respirator as needed. </li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Learn and implement MSHA standards and regulations to ensure a safe operating environment is maintained at all times. </li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Regular and timely attendance is required.</li> </ul> Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
