Plant Maintenance Technician Position Overview The maintenance worker position, under limited supervision, performs work of routine difficulty maintenance; performs related work as assigned. Frequently works with others. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Performs routine maintenance on ready mix concrete plants and related equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Performs routine maintenance on building’s interior and exterior.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Performs cleanup and housekeeping duties around shops, offices, and restrooms.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary emergencies repairs that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Work on projects with company maintenance crew and contractors. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Education/Experience <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">High school diploma or GED.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Commercial Driver’s License (preferred)</li> </ul> Work Requirements <ul style="margin-bottom:6.0px"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Plant repair experience.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Skills in:mechanics, welding, fabricating, cutting, plumbing, conveyor belt installation/repair and electrical</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Pneumatic air systems knowledge</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Be able to work overtime and night shift work </li> </ul> Knowledge/Skill Requirements <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to read and understand warning labels, instructions, signs and similar information. Ability to safely and effectively operate a high loader and the batching computer system. Ability to use general hand tools needed to perform minor maintenance on trucks.
