Summary: Prepares and cooks family style meals for boat crews and employees of institutions by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Prepare and cook meals in appropriate quantities based on established menus and crew size, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Plan and develop menus that incorporate seasonal ingredients, cost efficiency, and balanced nutrition for crew members.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Serve meals in a timely and professional manner, maintain a clean and organized dining environment.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including dishwashing, food preparation surface, and storage areas.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Perform food preparation tasks such as cutting, portioning, and storing meats and other ingredients.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Monitor and manage inventory levels; order food and kitchen supplies as needed while maintaining accurate records of usage and expenditures.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and sanitation standards.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Remain onboard the vessel for extended periods, supporting continuous meal service operations for the crew.</li> </ul> Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
