This position works primarily on the production floor and ensures machinery operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment. <h4>Key Responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on packaging and production equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Use gauges, indicators, and diagnostic tools to identify equipment problems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Inspect equipment and recommend corrective actions to prevent breakdowns.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Utilize common mechanic hand tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Support production operations by responding to equipment issues in a timely manner.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain excellent attendance and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, shift rotations, and off-shift schedules as required.</li> </ul> <h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">High School Diploma or GED required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience required; 2 years preferred.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Basic knowledge of: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Mechanical systems and tools of the trade</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Hydraulic systems</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Pneumatic systems</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Gauges and other indicator systems</li> </ul> </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Safety experience and familiarity with OSHA standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must possess common mechanic tools.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must successfully pass the mandatory Scientific Management Test.</li> </ul> <h4>Working Conditions</h4> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Works 100% of the time on the production floor.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Frequently required to stand for extended periods.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">May work from ladders, scaffolds, and in elevated areas.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Exposure to dusty, dirty, hot, wet, noisy, and confined work environments.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">May work in ditches, cramped spaces, and other challenging industrial conditions.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job.</li> </ul> </div> We are an equal opportunity employer.
