<p>The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.#SZCJobs</p><p style="text-align:center"> </p> <p style="text-align:center"> </p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Quality Control Technician (Sizewell C)</strong><br><strong>Heidelberg Materials</strong><br><strong>Sizewell C</strong></p> <p><br>Join Heidelberg Materials UK on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects</p> <p><br>Make Your Mark on a Landmark Project</p> <p><br>We're looking for a Senior Quality Control Technician (QCT) to play a vital role at Sizewell C, supporting one of the UK's most significant nuclear new build projects.</p> <p><br>This is an opportunity to take ownership of quality excellence-ensuring materials meet the highest standards while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.</p> <p><br><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p> <p><br>As a Senior QCT, you'll lead from the front-combining technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for quality.</p> <p><br>Health, Safety & Compliance</p> <p>Champion a strong H&S culture aligned with NNB and Heidelberg Materials UK standards<br>Ensure full compliance with EDF regulations and site procedures<br>Proactively report Near Misses and challenge unsafe behaviours</p> <p><br>Testing & Quality Control</p> <p>Conduct laboratory and on-site testing (slump, compressive strength, aggregate sampling)<br>Analyse data and ensure compliance with BS EN / ASTM standards<br>Review and validate test results and batch tickets against specifications</p> <p><br>Material Inspection</p> <p>Inspect incoming materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures)<br>Monitor deliveries and report any discrepancies immediately<br>Maintain strict quality standards across all products</p> <p><br>Leadership & Mentoring</p> <p>Supervise and support junior technicians<br>Provide training, guidance, and technical expertise<br>Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture</p> <p><br>Reporting & Documentation</p> <p>Maintain accurate test records, logs, and calibration data<br>Produce clear reports for internal teams, contractors, and clients<br>Raise NCRs and quality alerts where required</p> <p><br>Project Collaboration</p> <p>Work closely with EDF contractors, technical teams, and operations<br>Support site investigations and material issue resolution<br>Build strong working relationships across all stakeholders</p> <p><br><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <p>CSCS Card (Construction Sites)<br>Triple Bar Clearance (Nuclear New Build)<br>SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)<br>NVQ or relevant technical qualification<br>Level 1 Award training</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Apply Now</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
