<p>The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.</p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Welders</strong><br><strong>Boccard</strong><br><strong>Hinkley Point C</strong></p> <p><br><strong>Main Duties:</strong></p> <p><br>• Must be able to follow and execute the steps of the ITP.<br>• Demonstrate a proven track record of experience in using TIG, MMA and MIG processes on a variety of materials including carbon steel and stainless steel.<br>• Weld a wide range of components and material thickness using TIG, MMA, and MIG processes.<br>• Be able to read and interpret WPS's, weld maps and welding procedures to determine sequence and method of welding.<br>• Undertaker Welder Qualifications in accordance with EN 9606-1 and or ASME IX (Depending on project requirements).<br>• Ability to work to required standards with minimal supervision.<br>• Ability to carry out self-inspection of own welding activities within defined parameters and requirements before submitting work for final inspection.<br>• Undertake good housekeeping to reinstate the work area following engineering activities.<br>• Work safely ensuring work areas are free from hazards and equipment is visually inspected before use.<br>• Undertake other associated welding and manufacturing operations as required including, grinding, deburring, linishing, etc.<br>• Assist in the training of others where competence in trade allows.<br>• Fully comply in site health, safety, environmental and quality procedures including site rules and notices.<br>• To be fully aware and comply with Boccard UK Ltd policy on equality and diversity.</p> <p><br><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p><br>Level 3 Diploma in Welding Engineering Construction Pipework (QCF) <br>OR Level 3 Diploma in Welding Engineering Construction Plate (QCF)</p> <p><br><strong>PLUS, any of the below:</strong></p> <p><br>BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering (QCF)<br>Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Construction (QCF) - P6 Welding<br>BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (QCF)<br>BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering (QCF)<br>BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Operations and Maintenance Engineering (QCF)</p> <p><br><strong>Also....</strong></p> <p><br>Weld qualifications to BS EN 9606 in TIG, MMA and MIG.<br>3 years’ experience (ideally in nuclear, maintenance, oil & gas, mechanical installation)<br>CCSNG Safety Passport</p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
