<p>The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.</p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>HSE Advisor</strong><br><strong>Boccard</strong><br><strong>Hinkley Point C</strong></p> <p><br><strong>Main Duties:</strong></p> <p><br>1. Developing effective health and safety policies and procedures.<br>2. Develop and maintain a 'continuous improvement' ethos in the approach to health and safety issues.<br>3. Participate in the development of safety, health and environmental management systems and actively disseminate these principles so that a standardised approach to is applied throughout the company.<br>4. Promote the importance of safe practices at all times and act as a role model for others.<br>5. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and the requirements of ISO45001/ISO14001.<br>6. Attend safety meetings and forums with subcontractors, clients and the workforce.<br>7. Conducting risk assessments including COSHH assessments and ensuring the results are communicated to relevant parties.<br>8. To conduct investigations into incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of work-related ill health and ensuring the outcomes and recommendations are communicated to the relevant parties.<br>9. Leading on health and safety training for all managers and employees at Hinckley Point C.<br>10. Advising on a range of specialist areas including fire regulation, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.<br>11. Prepare and compile safety statistics including writing reports, bulletins and newsletters<br>12. Interacting with external certification bodies in conjunction with the Management Systems Representatives<br>13. Keeping up to date with Health & Safety legislation and sector specific requirements.<br>14. To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.<br>15. To be fully aware and comply with Boccard UK Ltd's policy on Equality & Diversity</p> <p><br><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p><br><strong>Required:</strong></p> <p><br>NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent</p> <p><br><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <p><br>IEMA Membership<br>Internal Auditor experience (OHSAS 18001)<br>Familiarity with Safe Contractor and/or UVDB Verify standards<br>Minimum 5 years of experience in a Health & Safety role</p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
