The job holder performs thematic and pillar-wide duties and contributes to the preparation of core G&amp;EI products and processes under the supervision of their line manager. Under the guidance of the Principal II, they also advise Banking on the design and structuring of the transition impact or gender additionality of stand-alone Projects and Frameworks. In coordination with the Associate Director and other members of the team, they also provide input into gender and inclusion policy dialogue activities, a key focus of VP3, and may lead TC projects supporting project or policy interventions. The Associate, G&amp;EI, also contributes to relevant gender and inclusion analyses, which can include (amongst others) Country Diagnostics, Country and Sectoral Strategies, the yearly Assessment of Transition Qualities (ATQs), and other knowledge products. Given the regular demands from senior management, the Associate, G&amp;EI, is expected to show strong initiative and take the lead on engagement with banking OLs, clients, and external stakeholders, where appropriate.</span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><strong>Background</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">G&amp;EI consists of a team of around 45 gender and inclusion experts based across Headquarter and ROs. It leads on the design and delivery of the Bank’s Strategy for the Promotion of Gender Equality and its Equality of Opportunity Strategy across all areas and geographies of the Bank’s operations and policy engagements. </span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Promoting equality of opportunity through access to skills and employment, finance and entrepreneurship and services which support for women, young people and other under-served communities is one of the major cross-cutting strategic priorities of the Bank.</span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"> </p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">G&amp;EI is part of the Vice Presidency for Policy and Partnerships, and within that the Policy and Strategy Delivery department (PSD).
