In this role, you’ll help create positive experiences that encourage Aucklanders to stay active and healthy!</span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised swim teaching qualification while helping people build essential water safety and swimming skills. You’ll create a fun, supportive, and safe environment for customers of all ages. Experience teaching infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children is highly desirable.</span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Join us in either a casual or permanent part-time (6 hours per week) capacity, with shifts on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. </span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">We'll provide the training you need to succeed in the role. Successful candidates should be available to attend the training dates from 28 September - 9 October 2026 (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm) at West Wave and Auckland Central. Training location to be confirmed.</span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:black;font-size:14.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>He kōrero mōu: About you</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">You are a confident swimmer and instructor with a love of water, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life. Most importantly, you’re passionate about working with our diverse communities and making a positive difference.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">This role involves spending extended periods in the water, working in a warm and humid pool environment, and regular exposure to chlorinated water. We share this information so you can make an informed decision about your application.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">If you have a recognised swim teaching qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that would be fantastic! However, we will provide full, comprehensive training to help you succeed.
