About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient centred GP to join our dedicated team on a fixxed term basis, with the aim of providing additional clinical capacity.

Main duties of the job

2 sessions per week/one full day on either a Thursday or FridayDuty GP session for 1 session on alternate weeksClinical sessions will include face to face and telephone consultations.

About us

Oakwood Medical Centre is a well established GP practice looking after approximately 8,300 patients. Our clinical team includes 2 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 Physician Associates, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Paramedic, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 Healthcare Assistant. We have a very efficient supporting admin team, which includes an Operations Manager and Practice Manager.

As a Salaried GP you will

Provide high quality clinical care to all patients.

Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, home visits when duty GP, signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Developing care plans in line with practice disease management protocols.

Contribute to practice QOF performance and clinical audits.

Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary.

The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the usual duties and responsibilities associated with a GP in primary care.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Qualified General Practitioner Full GMC registration with licence to practice Inclusion on the NHS performers list DBS clearance

Experience Essential

Experience of working within a GP team in primary care
