ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained.

Main duties of the job Our Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare involves working as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and laundry in the home. You will follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel service standards. The position involves carrying out all cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces, and ensuring all areas remain well-presented. Housekeeping Assistants at Avery need to interact with residents respectfully, maintaining their dignity and protecting personal spaces. It's vital that candidates are compassionate and committed to delivering quality services within a supportive environment. Experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting and knowledge of health and safety practices, especially COSHH assessments, are required, along with the flexibility to adapt to various responsibilities on short notice.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions. Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected..
