We are looking for a motivated and proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team at Bowmere Hospital, supporting services across the wider West Cheshire locality. This is a key role where you will have a direct impact on the quality, safety and patient experience of our environments. This role will involve working across multiple sites within the West Cheshire area and flexibility to meet service needs.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Support the day-to-day management of facilities services including domestics, portering, security and support services Lead and supervise Facilities teams across Bowmere Hospital, outer buildings and community sites Carry out quality audits, inspections and compliance checks to maintain high standards Manage staffing processes including rotas, absence, recruitment and training Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement Deputise for the Facilities Manager as required About You -
You will be a confident and organised individual with experience in a facilities or operational environment. With strong leadership and communication skills, you will be able to motivate teams, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality services in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Degree qualification or willing to work toward degree qualification Minimum of a Level 3 or above qualification in Business administration / Facilities services or equivalent level 3 qualification Management of the successful delivery of at least one significant project. Grade C or above in Maths and English or level 2 Functional skills.
Desirable
Has experience of working within a Facilities Team
Knowledge and Expertise Essential
Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Strong leadership skills Ability to develop close multi disciplinary partnerships Ability to present sometimes complex information in a clear and understandable format Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent organising, motivation, leadership and team building skills Able to use independent judgment and initiative Excellent organisational skills for self and others. Excellent observational and analytical. Understanding of project management methodology
Experience Essential
Demonstrate excellent project management competence. Proven ability to prioritise and organise workload Understanding of managing a small budget.
