Job summary Job Purpose
To support the delivery of high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention within the ADHD service under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. The post-holder will contribute to assessment, research, audit, and service development in line with clinical governance and CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Assist in the delivery of ADHD assessments for children (6+) and adults, under supervision.
Complete Triages for children and adults.
Gather and score psychometric questionnaires (e.g. Conners 3, SNAP-IV, DIVA, BRIEF).
Support clinicians in the collection of developmental, behavioural, and psychosocial information.
Observe and assist in clinical interviews and feedback sessions where appropriate.
Contribute to formulation discussions and MDT meetings.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and confidential records in line with GDPR and CQC requirements

Professional and Administrative Attend regular clinical supervision with the Consultant Psychologist (minimum fortnightly).
Maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards (HCPC/BPS guidance).
Support with report preparation and documentation.
Ensure timely communication with multidisciplinary team members, clients, and external partners (e.g. GPs, schools).
Participate in MDTs and reflective practice sessions.
Be responsible for taking and managing calls as needed
Welcome in person assessments.
Support Autism assessments. ( complete ADOS - if trained)

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Person Specification Qualifications: BSc (Hons) or MSc in Psychology eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the BPS. Desirable: postgraduate training in clinical or neurodevelopmental psychology. Experience: Experience working with neurodiverse individuals or mental health clients. Desirable: experience in ADHD, CAMHS, or adult mental health settings. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; high attention to detail; ability to work autonomously under supervision. Knowledge: Understanding of ADHD, mental health, and safeguarding principles. Desirable: familiarity with NICE guidance for ADHD and psychological assessment frameworks.

ADOS 2 Trained Experience of working in Neurodiversity services.
