About this role

Job summary The Credit Control Administrator will develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, external customers. The role will also provide administrative support to the Head of Billing and Credit, including the preparation of reports and other information as required to support the Credit Control function

Main duties of the job The Credit Control Administrator will be responsible for a range of cash management and credit control activities within the Billing and Accounts Receivable team, while working collaboratively with and supporting internal stakeholders. The post holder will manage a variety of credit control activities to ensure cash collection targets are achieved and outstanding debt is effectively managed.

Job description Job responsibilities Job Title: Credit Control Administrator Department: Finance Location: 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ Hours: 21 hours per week - Any 3 days per week Salary: £15,00 - £17,000 Join our Billing and Credit team and help support the financial operations of The London Clinic. We're looking for an organised and proactive Credit Control Administrator to join our Billing and Credit team on a part time, 21 hour per week basis (3 days a week on site) You'll play an important role in supporting the day to day running of our Credit Control function, helping us manage accounts efficiently while delivering an excellent service to our patients, consultants and colleagues. A little about the team You'll be joining a friendly and collaborative Billing and Credit team that works closely with colleagues across The London Clinic. Together, we help ensure our billing and credit control processes run smoothly, supporting the financial health of the organisation so we can continue delivering exceptional patient care. You'll build strong working relationships with colleagues across the hospital, as well as consultants and insurers where appropriate. Your contribution will be valued from day one, and you'll be encouraged to share ideas that help us continually improve the way we work. What you'll be doing As our Credit Control Administrator, you'll support a wide range of administrative and credit control activities, including:

Managing reminder letters to patients and consultants, including registering accounts for bad debt referral.Producing insurer nonpayment notifications to patients.Managing the Credit Control inbox and processing copy invoice requests.Managing the Agile Payments inbox.Processing refund requests, maintaining the refund tracker and distributing approved refunds to the Credit Control team.Maintaining accurate records within Meditech and the Debtor Forecast report.Managing weekly Patient Zone updates to ensure insurer shortfalls are accurately recorded.Clearing zero balance accounts.Updating patient address details within Meditech and Healthcode where required.Updating the Debtor Forecast report twice each week.Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks.Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working What we're looking for You'll be an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. You'll also have: Previous experience within a credit control, accounts receivable or finance administration role.Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and good general IT skills.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience within healthcare or medical insurance would be advantageous but is not essential. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Good standard of general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Experience Essential

* Previous experience in a credit control, accounts receivable or finance administration role. * Experience managing a varied administrative workload and working to deadlines * Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential financial information. * Experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and customers.
