Polden Medical Practice is a thriving rural dispensing training practice in Somerset serving approximately 11,000 patients across two owned sites.
We are looking for a Salaried GP who values continuity and teamwork. We combine traditional continuity of care with modern systems that support safe, efficient and sustainable general practice, keeping patients at the heart of everything we do.
Situated close to Junction 23 of the M5, we're within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Taunton while offering the benefits of rural practice and a strong sense of community.
Main duties of the job
Sessions are flexible and can range from 48 sessions per week.
Clinical responsibilities include:
Routine, acute and complex consultations Long-term condition management and preventative care Home visits Medicines optimisation and safe prescribing Participation in same-day care and triage

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified General Practitioner - MRCGP or equivalent qualification. GMC registration with licence to practise. Inclusion on the NHS Performers List or eligible.
Desirable
Experience of working in a dispensing practice. Experience of EMIS Web. Interest or experience in quality improvement, leadership or service development initiatives.
