Job summary At Spire Alexandra Hospital, our Engineering team plays a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Estates team and help keep our hospital environment running smoothly, safely and efficiently.
Main duties of the job This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and hospital infrastructure. From fault finding and testing to supporting critical building services, you'll work in a modern healthcare environment where your skills have a direct impact on patients, colleagues and visitors every day.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance Electrical testing, fault finding and minor installations Supporting essential hospital systems, including electrical infrastructure, ventilation and water services Working alongside specialist contractors and ensuring compliance with HTM guidance Participating in a 1-in-4 on-call rota Helping drive continuous improvement across the hospital estate

What We're Looking For NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Healthcare Buildings Maintenance with electrical bias backgroundUPS, IPS, 3 phase and single-phase circuits, motor, inverters, generators, switch roomsExperience in electrical maintenance and repairAble to understand the requirements under HTM-06 and be either LV Competent Person or LV Authorised Person qualified and carry an 18th edition certificate
