Main duties of the job
We are seeking a GMC-registered Doctor to join our team. This is an opportunity to support children, young people and adults who access Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC), helping each patient feel safe, listened to and in control of their care.
The role is for all ages covering both paediatric and adult services. There is a requirement for some travel as part of the role dependent on base location.

Job description Job responsibilities
Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.Point of contact for Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures

Previous experience working in a SARC setting or custodial environments

A UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required. This requires residency for 3 years in the UK Medical Indemnity by start date is also a requirement Willingness to complete successful Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Qualifications Essential
GMC registered Doctor A minimum of 3 years relevant post Foundation experience
Desirable
Diploma in Legal Medicine Member of the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
