About this role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team 4 days per week, working hours from 8:15 - 15:45.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, including leading whole-class lessons in the absence of a teacher and supporting small groups and individual pupils. You will play a key part in helping pupils achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Teaching & Learning
Deliver lessons to whole classes during planned and unplanned teacher absencePlan, deliver, and evaluate learning activities for individuals, groups, and classesMonitor pupil progress and provide clear feedback to support improvementSupport pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learningAdapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs, including SENDPromote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional resiliencePupil Support

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)First Aid trained (or willing to undertake training)Experienced in working with children or in a school setting Skilled in planning and delivering learning activities Strong literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood understanding of safeguarding, SEND, and the curriculum Confident using ICT to support teaching and learning Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and resourcefulPersonal Qualities
