About this role
Experience of clerking, minute taking, governance administration or supporting formal meetings in a professional environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate records, minutes and governance documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with senior leaders, governors, trustees and external stakeholders.
Experience of maintaining records, action logs, statutory registers and compliance documentation.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to use governance and record management systems.
Understanding of governance, compliance, committee or board processes.
Knowledge of data protection principles, including GDPR, Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information requests (desirable).
Experience within education, academy trusts, local government or other regulated environments (desirable).
Ability to support governor recruitment, induction, training and development activities.
Experience coordinating meetings, events or stakeholder engagement activities.
A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Flexibility to attend evening meetings and travel across Trust schools as required.
