About this role
We have a vacancy within our support team for a SEN Teaching Assistant & MTA, the position is to support children with specialist additional needs.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate at Newtown Primary School who:
Will be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated working alongside the class teacher to support children 1:1 across all areas of the curriculumThe post holder will be responsible for ensuring a child has full access to the national curriculum and has to operate in a number of ways to ensure the child progresses.Will be required to work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the schoolResponsible for working with an individual pupil and with small groupsWill be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassionHave experience of working with children. Ideally, within a school environmentCan inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can beHas the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a differenceHas a passion to ensure high expectations for all ensuring that they make outstanding progressCan plan, prepare and promote constructive play during the lunchtime period
As a Mealtime Assistant you:
▪ Will be responsible for a safe and calm dining experience
▪ Will be able build a rapport with children
▪ Will be able to support children during their lunchtime provision both in the dining room and on the playground.
▪ Will be able to liaise both written and verbally with other school staff
▪ Will be physically able to lift and move tables and chairs as part of the set up and clear down for lunchtime.
