We are looking for an innovative and highly analytical Senior Program Manager to lead the development and launch of new programs focused on improving customer delivery speed. This role will connect with Worldwide (WW) teams and Amazon geographies to identify, benchmark, and evaluate leading speed capabilities, operating models, and best practices that can be adapted and deployed within the local network. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, research, and program management capabilities, with preferred experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Transportation, Process Improvement, or direct-to-customer operations. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in highly ambiguous environments, identifying global best practices, understanding local operational nuances, and translating proven concepts into scalable programs that deliver measurable improvements in speed, quality, and cost. The Senior Program Manager – Speed Programs & Initiatives will own new programs end-to-end, from WW benchmarking and opportunity identification through local feasibility assessment, program design, business case development, pilot, launch, stabilization, and scale. This person will act as the single-threaded program owner, connecting WW teams, regional and local Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, Engineering, Science, ACES, and Tech to successfully launch new speed capabilities. The role will have direct visibility to senior leadership and will be responsible for developing a sustainable pipeline of new speed initiatives and converting global learnings into locally relevant, scalable solutions. Key job responsibilities Build strong partnerships with WW teams and Amazon geographies to identify, benchmark, and evaluate leading speed programs, operational capabilities, technology solutions, and best practices. Develop structured mechanisms to continuously assess global programs and translate relevant learnings into locally suitable solutions that improve speed, quality, and cost. Research and compare operating models across geographies, assessing program performance, technology requirements, operational dependencies, customer behavior, demand profiles, network design, infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and local market nuances. Identify gaps between WW capabilities and local requirements and define the process, operational, or technical changes required for deployment. Own new speed programs e2e, from opportunity identification, benchmarking, feasibility assessment, and business case development through pilot, launch, stabilization, and scale. Act as the single-threaded owner across WW, regional, and local teams, developing implementation roadmaps, success criteria, and Speed, Quality, and Cost guardrails. Lead pilot design, launch readiness, and execution while partnering with Ops, ACES, Finance, Product, Engineering,and Tech. Establish post-launch performance mechanisms, conduct DD's, resolve gaps, and develop scale recommendations. Transition mature programs into long-term business ownership and lead senior leadership reviews covering strategy, readiness, performance, risks, and outcomes. You will lead pilots, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and monitor Speed, Quality, and Cost performance through stabilization. Using data and operational insights, you will develop scale recommendations, communicate progress to senior leadership, and transition successful programs into long-term business ownership.
