About this role
As a Junior Project Manager – Engineering & Construction, you will join our team in Sommerset to support complex major infrastructure and nuclear-sector projects.
This role focuses on leading the full lifecycle delivery of multidisciplinary projects, ensuring effective control of cost, schedule, risk, and quality, while maintaining strict compliance within highly regulated environments.
You will be responsible for managing stakeholders, contractors, and project teams while delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of major projects from concept through to handoverDevelop and implement engineering design, contract, and execution strategiesManage multi-discipline EPCM projects across engineering, procurement, and construction phasesEnsure projects are delivered to schedule, cost, and quality objectivesApply estimating, scheduling, programming, and Earned Value Management (EVM) techniquesMonitor and control cost, risk, change, and project performanceImplement robust risk management strategies and mitigation plansManage complex contracts under NEC and FIDIC frameworksOversee procurement strategies and contractor performanceHandle commercial claims, negotiations, and dispute resolutionEngage effectively with multi-level stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatorsDeliver clear presentations, reporting, and project updatesFacilitate decision-making across complex project environmentsEnsure compliance with CDM Regulations and regulatory requirementsPromote a strong safety-first culture across all project activitiesApply nuclear quality standards and a graded approach to quality assuranceMaintain high standards of environmental and security compliance Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of project management frameworks aligned with APM Competency StandardsProven leadership capability in complex, high-value engineering projectsProficiency in project controls tools (cost, planning, risk, EVM)Strong analytical, numerical, and critical reasoning skillsExcellent communication, influencing, and facilitation abilitiesWorking knowledge of CDM RegulationsUnderstanding of nuclear quality assurance and graded quality approachesRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil engineering or equivalent military experienceDesirable Skills:
Experience within nuclear energy or other highly regulated sectorsWorking knowledge of the French languageDemonstrated success in:Managing engineering design and field execution strategiesDelivering EPCM projectsOverseeing construction activities and contractor managementManaging complex procurement and contract strategies Why join us?
