About this role
We are recruiting a Battery Test & Validation Engineer to support the development of next-generation electric vehicle (EV) battery systems.
This role focuses on the design verification (DV) and validation of battery packs, playing a key part in a major electrification programme across advanced vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution
Create detailed test instructions based on engineering and customer requirementsCoordinate testing with internal and external test facilitiesEnsure validation activities meet defined standards and targetsBattery Validation & Fault Finding
Analyse battery test data to assess performance and validate requirementsIdentify faults and non-compliance, supporting root cause investigationRecommend corrective actionsPack Build & Logistics
Support battery build activities, including instrumentation and deviationsOversee builds to ensure configurations are correctly implementedManage shipment and logistics of battery units to test sitesData Analysis & Reporting
Interpret test results and confirm pass/fail against validation criteriaProduce technical reports (Level 1 & Level 2)Present findings to internal engineering teamsTest Support Activities
Coordinate battery tear-downs for investigation or repairSupport continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies Required Skills:
Experience in test/validation engineeringBackground in automotive and/or battery systems (EV preferred)Experience with test planning, execution, and data analysisStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with cross-functional engineering teamsGood communication and reporting skillsRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
Exposure to battery testing or HV systemsExperience in EV validation or electrified powertrain projectsFamiliarity with data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB, Python)Understanding of vehicle development or validation processes Why join us?
