Quality Controller Mechanical - Amsterdam - Lekkerkerk Location: Amsterdam - Lekkerkerk Hours per week: 40 Salary indication: 75.000 - 100.000 Professional level: MBO/HBO Assetmanagement lifecycle: Engineering Design Type employment: Deta-Vast Study area: Overige techniek Introduction Ensure the quality of complex mechanical systems during the construction of custom-built superyachts by overseeing inspections, compliance and workmanship across subcontractor facilities and shipyard operations. Function What you will do - Monitor and verify the quality of mechanical installations during the hull construction phase, including work performed by subcontractors and external suppliers. - Execute inspections in accordance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all required stakeholders are present during mandatory quality control milestones. - Review mechanical systems such as bilge, fuel, hydraulic, firefighting and piping systems against engineering specifications, classification requirements and project standards. - Investigate non-conformities, quality deviations and workmanship issues, coordinating corrective actions with production teams and subcontractors. - Maintain complete digital records of inspection results, quality documentation and final acceptance reports throughout the project lifecycle. - Support the continuous improvement of quality processes by updating inspection methods, procedures, protocols and work instructions where required. - Report inspection findings, quality trends and project status to production management, quality assurance teams, surveyors, authorities and clients.
