About this role
Manage and supervise activities of warehouse team members engaged in loading and unloading of trucks, and in moving and storing of materials/products. Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules. Train new team members in job duties to maintain consistency and accuracy throughout the warehouse. Ensure team members are working safe and following safety, hygiene, and security guidelines. Comfort level working in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Follow company guidelines and company operational policies.

Salary Range: $85k - $90k + 15% bonus potential, depending on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(50%) Manage Warehouse and Warehouse Sanitation Area
Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keep warehouse inventory currentImplement cycle counting and/or annual physical inventories using inventory system reports, inventory software, and count sheets to ensure inventory accuracyManage team member tasks and responsibilities to receive, store, and load food products and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures, and within budgeted guidelines and dispatch accuracy goalsControl departmental cost and prepare a budget for Director's reviewCompile the warehouse portion of the weekly key indicator summary, and other statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisOversee and identify items that can be recycledMaintain a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, local, state, and federal requirementsRecognize potential problems and respond accordinglyInspect warehouse equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and in good conditionOversee housekeeping of the warehouse and the surrounding areaEnsure the department is always audit and 5’s readyVisit stores to monitor the quality of the productAbility to maintain confidentialityMaintain positive relationships with other departments and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Coach team members who are not meeting their performance goals, and reward team members for good performance, complete performance appraisals on team membersFacilitate a five-minute team member meeting each day to keep the team member informed of safety precautions, performance, policies, etc.Recruit, interview, hire, and train all new team members in various trainings, including safety, and minimize team member turnoverResponsible for warehouse safety and accuracyReview time clock punches, edit missing punches, and approve PTO requestAs needed, fills in as a warehouse team member and performs tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals (these activities do not exceed 20% of total work time)Maintain positive customer relationsDirect salvage of damaged or used materialAttend Leadership & Development training sessionsVerify and validate timecards and manage the working scheduleValidate and verify contractsValidate and verify accounts payableMaintain warehouse supplies for daily needs and order supplies as neededWork with temp agencies Rapid decision-making and deliberate planning for warehouse growthMentoring team membersMaintain a working relationship with COE departments, i.e., talent acquisition, finance, quality assurance, and safetyPerform other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in distribution, warehouse, logistics, retail, or transportation. Some college plus equivalent work experience may be accepted. Preferably in the food, warehouse, manufacturing, or retail industry3-5 years of warehouse experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment3-5 years of supervisory experienceProven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectivesStrong attention to detailProactive and results oriented demeanorThorough knowledge of OSHA regulationsKnowledge of asset management procedures, and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill ratesSolid experience in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work a full-time/flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysWillingness to support a 24-hour operation, and be on call, including carrying an emergency cell phone as neededProven experience in quality and safetyStrong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skillsMaintain forklift certificationAvailability to travel, as neededMust successfully pass a background checks every third year on your anniversary date
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion, perform heavy pushing/pulling of product, work in refrigerated conditions [33-38 degrees], and work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery, when necessary.
