What's the role This is a hands-on opportunity to join Circolide Technologies as one of our first operators - a green chemistry start-up, spun out from the Feringa Research Group at the University of Groningen, that is developing bio-based butenolide monomers as a sustainable alternative to fossil-based acrylates. You will be responsible for running our core photochemical production process on a day-to-day basis: operating the reactor system, producing customer samples, maintaining accurate production records, and supporting our team in the scale-up from lab to pilot plant. You will be working at the intersection of chemistry, process technology, engineering, and sustainability, where every batch matters. We are looking for a hands-on chemical production technician who can help us set up and run our first controlled manufacturing operations. You will execute chemical processes according to SOPs and batch records, handle raw materials safely, operate equipment, complete GMP documentation, controlled production documentation, and support the setup of basic production systems such as labels, logs, cleaning procedures, and material flow. As one of our first operations hires, you will not only run the process, but also help build the operational foundation of the company: SOPs, batch records, safety routines, equipment logs, labelling procedures, cleaning procedures, and material flow. We are looking for someone who can work independently in a small team, follow controlled procedures, handle chemicals safely, and bring structure to a fast-moving start-up environment.
