Don Browne Plant Hire & Groundworks based at Cloneen, Carrigtwohill, Cork is looking for a versatile Maintenance Supervisor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for oversee the upkeep, repair, and renovation of our facilities and project sites. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between high-level project planning and the "boots on the ground" execution, ensuring that every structure under our care is safe, functional, and built to last. Key Responsibilities Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of construction and building workers and/or subcontractors; Establishes and monitors work schedules to meet productivity requirements; Liaises with managers and contractors to resolve operational problems; Determines or recommends staffing and other needs to meet productivity requirements; Reports as required to managerial staff on work-related matters; Manage small-to-medium scale construction projects, from initial scope and budgeting to final inspection and sign-off; Develop and implement rigorous PM programs to extend the lifecycle of mechanical systems, structural components, and site equipment; Procure necessary materials and equipment while maintaining inventory levels to prevent project delays; Serve as the primary point of contact for urgent structural or mechanical failures, coordinating rapid repairs. Qualifications 2+ years experience in construction or facilities maintenance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, Fire Compartmentation, Fire door installation and General maintenance. Safe pass required. Ability to translate technical blueprints into actionable tasks for the crew. Comfort working in various weather conditions and tight spaces. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Work Pattern: Monday – Sunday 39 to 40 hours a week Work place: Cloneen, Carrigtwohill, Cork
