You will join the DISCO Research Group and contribute to RDI projects exploring how emerging connected technologies can support resilient digital services for healthcare, emergency response and other critical environments. Your work will focus on the design, prototyping, integration and experimental validation of 5G/6G-enabled architectures and services, including IoT and wearable devices, edge/cloud components and end-user applications. You will work with autonomy, taking responsibility from applied research and software development to experimentation, evaluation and dissemination. Your responsibilities will include: • Conduct RDI activities with autonomy under general supervision, taking responsibility for RDI projects related to connected digital healthcare, emergency response and 5G/6G-enabled services. • Design, prototype, integrate and experimentally evaluate connected healthcare and emergency-response services, including software components, IoT/wearable devices, edge/cloud components, demonstrators and pilot activities. • Collect, analyse and interpret network, service, application-level and sensor/wearable data, define relevant performance indicators, and assess the feasibility, effectiveness and limitations of proposed solutions. • Contribute to project deliverables, technical reports, scientific publications, demonstrations and presentations. • Contribute to the preparation and submission of national and European RDI project proposals, and support the identification of innovation opportunities, prototypes, technology-transfer perspectives and new application domains. • Contribute to the long-term strategic development of LIST's activities in connected digital healthcare, emergency response and critical connected services. • Collaborate with colleagues, project partners and external stakeholders, assist junior researchers or trainees where relevant, and ensure compliance with research ethics, research integrity, data protection, cybersecurity, data management and LIST-HSE rules. Education • PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Digital Health Technologies, or a related field. Experience and skills • Minimum 2 years of post-PhD or equivalent RDI experience in relevant topics. • Software prototyping, data-driven experimentation, and performance evaluation in connected digital healthcare, IoT/wearable or edge/cloud environments. • Autonomy, rigour, analytical thinking, teamwork, project management, communication skills, and ability to contribute to proposals, publications and collaborative RDI projects. Language skills • Fluency in English and French, both oral and written. Other relevant languages are an asset.
