School Development • Support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan. • Lead agreed school improvement priorities and evaluate their impact. • Monitor standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, attendance and student outcomes. • Support the effective use of assessment and performance date to drive improvement. • Contribute to self-evaluation, inspection readiness and accreditation processes. • Promote effective collaboration between Primary and Secondary phases. • Support transition arrangements between Early Years, Key Stages and Secondary School. • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of school policies. • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of school policies. • Assist in maintaining efficient operational systems across the Primary School. • Lead assemblies and whole-school events as appropriate. Staff Development • Foster a culture of professional learning and continuous improvement. • Lead the inclusion of new staff, supply teachers, student teachers and visitors. • Support the recruitment, selection and retention of high-quality staff. • Coach, mentor and develop teachers, Teaching Assistants and middle leaders. • Deliver professional development, model lessons and coaching where appropriate. • Identify professional learning needs and contribute to Continuous Professional Development planning. • Support colleagues experiencing professional challenge through coaching and development plans. • Undertake line management responsibilities, including performance management and professional review. • Promote staff wellbeing and contribute to maintaining a positive, collaborative working environment. • Support succession planning and leadership development across the Primary School. Curriculum, Teaching and Learning • Support the strategic implementation of the Primary curriculum. • Promote consistently high-quality teaching and evidence-informed pedagogy. • Monitor curriculum delivery, assessment and student progress. • Ensure curriculum provision is inclusive, ambitious and meets the needs of all learners. • Promote innovation in teaching while maintaining consistency of high expectations. • Lead initiatives to improve classroom practice and student outcomes. • Support curriculum development through collaboration with curriculum leaders. • Promote enrichment opportunities that enhance student's personal development. • Maintain awareness of developments in British and international education and share best practice. Pastoral Leadership • Lead and monitor the implementation of the Primary pastoral systems. • Promote a culture where safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion are central to school life. • Support the implementation of behaviour systems that promote positive relationships and high expectations. • Promote student voice and opportunities for leadership. • Ensure that pastoral policies are implemented consistently and effectively. • Work closely with safeguarding leads and external agencies where appropriate. • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and justice across the Primary School. • Support initiatives that strengthen student's personal development, resilience and character. • Build positive partnership with parents to support student wellbeing and success. Line Management • Line manages Primary Coordinators and other staff as directed by the Head of Primary. • Conduct performance management reviews and provide regular coaching and feedback. • Monitor agreed improvement targets and hold colleagues accountable for high standards. • Support the development of effective middle leadership across the Primary School. • Ensure clear communication and consistency across teams. Operational Leadership • Support the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the Primary School. • Oversee daily operational arrangements including staffing, cover, assemblies and timetabling. • Ensure high standards of behaviour, safety and engagement throughout the school day. • Respond effectively to operational challenges and make timely decisions within delegated authority. • Maintain effective communication with parents, staff and external agencies. • Support the efficient management of school events and activities. • Deputise confidently and effectively for the Head of Primary as required. Other Duties • Undertake any other professional duties reaslonabley delegated by the Head of Primary or Principal. • Comply with all health and safety requirements. • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • Maintain appropriated safeguarding training. • Engage fully in professional development and the School's performance management process.
