Description: Mechanical Engineer / Technician We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Technician to integrate our R&D team and participate in the development and design of products. Key Responsibilities: Participate to the development, design, change and/or enhancement of products or features of products for all our product ranges by applying a cost-effective approach. Draw up plans using computer-assisted engineering & design software. Contribute to the development of mock-ups, prototypes and 3D systems that allow presenting the product. Accurately define material, construction, labor costs as well as project timelines. Make sure projects meet specifications and regulations. Generate documentation for the production of design history files & device master record. Create and maintain Bill of Materials for production in ERP/PLM systems. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure fulfillment of customer needs and proactive handling of incidents/complaints. Determine root cause analysis of problems that exist or are reported by clients. Create and review supportive training content: written procedures, FAQs, presentations, etc., for use in enhancing customer support experience as well as internal product knowledge transfer. Ensure proper testing, documentation, validation and risk analysis for the R&D department. Lead the specification, selection and validation of materials, ensuring compliance with performance requirements, environmental constraints, manufacturability and cost-efficiency targets. Produce clear 2D drawings for molded and sheet metal components, including tolerance stack-ups, GD&T application and tolerance specifications aligned with industry standards. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. Ideally, you have a specialization in thermodynamics, FEA simulation or mechanical design. Experience: More than 5 years of experience in product development or industrial design. Technical Knowledge: CATIA V5 (3D / 2D). Knowledge of PLM tools such as 3DX is considered an asset. Tolerance stack-up analysis and drawing creation. Knowledge of project management methodologies is considered an asset. English is mandatory. German and/or French are considered assets. Skills: Ability to take over a project, estimate workload and ensure delivery within required deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to successfully manage competing priorities and build credibility with clients. Rigorous and analytical mindset. Team player who enjoys interpersonal interaction and also likes working independently. Stress-resistant and motivated by the challenges associated with technical development. Dynamic, hands-on and business-driven. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
