Help bring a new generation of battery sensing ICs to market by developing reference systems and supporting customers worldwide. Specifically, as a Senior Application Engineer in Tessenderlo, your tasks will include: Develop embedded software, drivers and Python-based evaluation tools Build Battery Management System (BMS) reference platforms to demonstrate the performance of Melexis battery sensing ICs Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers, on-site and remotely, in hardware integration, software implementation and technical troubleshooting Debug hardware and firmware issues using laboratory equipment and battery emulators Translate customer feedback into product requirements together with IC design teams Create application notes, reference designs and software documentation Collaborate with an international multidisciplinary engineering team The Ideal Senior Application Engineer has/is: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field 5+ years of experience in Application Engineering, Firmware Engineering or Systems Engineering Experience with hardware and Embedded C , basic knowledge of Python, PCB layouts and low-level communication protocols (SPI, I2C,…) Strong understanding of mixed-signal fundamentals and knowledge of Battery Management Systems Self-driven, hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
