Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Primary Care Paramedic to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a primary care setting, delivering high-quality, accessible care to our patient population.
The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of minor illness conditions, helping to improve patient outcomes and ease GP workload.
Main duties of the job
Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for patients presenting with minor illnesses
Undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and management within scope of practice
Provide urgent same-day care and triage patients appropriately
Prescribe or supply medication (if qualified) or make recommendations for treatment
Refer patients to appropriate services, including secondary care, community services or allied health professionals
Maintain accurate clinical records
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience in urgent care, ambulance service or primary care Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and organisational skills Full UK driving licence
