As a Risk and Intelligence Officer you play a critical role in investigating serious incidents and crimes to ensure the apprehension and conviction of responsible parties, safeguarding company assets through proactive security measures, and proposing new strategies to prevent theft. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Investigate serious incidents and crimes thoroughly, leading to the apprehension and conviction of guilty parties. Protect company assets by identifying security risks and taking prompt corrective action. Maintain and secure dockets and CCTV footage for easy retrieval. Propose and implement new measures to combat incidents and theft. Act as a witness in internal disciplinary enquiries and external proceedings (e.g., CCMA, Courts). Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality standards consistently and accurately. Prioritize cases for investigation based on the likelihood of yielding desired results. Manage criminal cases of varying complexity across departments. Interview witnesses and persons of interest. Identify, collect, preserve, and analyse evidence, including drafting affidavits and statements. Analyse and structure data for intelligence purposes. Present evidence in court where applicable. Navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements
What You Bring:
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.3-5 years relevant security experience. Excellent knowledge of civil/criminal laws and investigations procedures.Experience within the hospitality industry – advantageous. Excellent working knowledge of security protocols and procedures, as well as the relevant Health and Safety regulations.Strong time management and organizational abilities.
