Job Summary Responsible for supporting commercial growth strategy through data-driven analysis, sales process improvement, and cross-functional initiative support. Translates advanced analytics into practical, field-facing insights while demonstrating resilience in ambiguous, iterative problem-solving environments.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Supports implementation of the company's organic growth strategy by conducting analyses, identifying opportunities, tracking progress, and measuring results.

• Analyzes customer, sales, market, and operational data using commercial analytics methods to surface actionable insights.

• Translates analytical findings into practical recommendations, field-ready materials, and clear guidance that sales leaders and non-technical audiences can understand and use.

• Partners with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, synthesize findings, and support alignment of field sales initiatives and commercial priorities.

• Assists with improving commercial processes and tools, including account assignment, product recommendation, lead generation, customer analytics, and sales performance routines.

• Prepares clear materials that communicate insights, recommendations, and progress updates to sales leadership and field teams.

• Works through defined business questions with investigation, iteration, structured problem-solving, and persistence despite ambiguity or imperfect data.

• Manages assigned workstreams, analyses, and deliverables within established plans, policies, and guidelines, escalating risks and recommending adjustments as needed to achieve planned outcomes.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

• Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.

• Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.

• May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally, 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field with demonstrated coursework or experience in analytical thinking, research, problem-solving, and communication. Diverse academic backgrounds, including quantitative, business (economics), social science, liberal arts, related field, etc.; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical insights for field and non-technical audiences.

• Hands-on experience, academic training, or project-based application of segmentation, clustering, customer lifetime value, cohort analysis, regression, market sizing, or related commercial analytics methods.

• Demonstrated resilience, grit, ownership mindset, and comfort with ambiguity, iteration, and evolving priorities.

• Proficiency and comfort with AI prompting, including validation of outputs.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple analyses, deadlines, and stakeholder inputs simultaneously.

• Understanding of, or interest in developing expertise in, the distribution or construction industry, market dynamics, customer needs, and field sales operating models.
