Westgold Resources is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at our underground Southern Operations.
This pivotal role will lead a team of junior mining engineers in developing and delivering safe, efficient production plans covering drilling, charging, and remote bogging activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, supervise, and implement weekly drill and blast activities, with a focus on operational excellence. • Schedule, plan, manage, and take ownership of the 3MS process using Deswik IS. • Ensure adherence to drill and blast standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise recovery and minimise dilution. • Foster a high-performance culture by actively coaching, mentoring, engaging with, and providing feedback to Production Engineers and Graduate Engineers. • Fulfill statutory responsibilities when required. • Support daily underground operations and contribute to the achievement of production targets through sound engineering practices.
What You'll Bring
• Strong proficiency in mining software, including Deswik IS, Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB, and Ventsim, as well as Microsoft Office applications for production reporting and analysis. • Tertiary qualification in Engineering. • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills. • Strong report writing and presentation skills. • Proven ability to take a strategic approach to continuous improvement, delivering outcomes that support organisational objectives. • Current and unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's Licence.
